The fire began just before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, on Country Hills Road in Hamden.

Firefighters arrived to find both floors of the home engulfed in flames.

It's unclear what sparked the blaze, but the dry conditions made knocking it down more challenging for the North Haven County firefighters, the Hamden Fire Department said.

The Hamden Fire Marshal’s Division is investigating what sparked the fire.

Multiple area agencies assisted in battling the blaze.
